Position: Professional Domain Expert – Government / Non-Profit (Remote, Contract)

Compensation

  • $25 – $35 per hour (USD)

Role Overview

Mercor is partnering with a leading AI lab to engage experienced professionals from the government and non-profit sectors** to evaluate AI-generated content.

In this role, you’ll help improve the accuracy, safety, and reliability of AI systems used in high-stakes public and social impact contexts—where incorrect information can have serious real-world consequences.


What You’ll Do

  • Write realistic prompts based on **real-world government and non-profit scenarios**
  • Evaluate AI-generated responses for:
    • Factual accuracy
    • Regulatory or policy alignment
    • Practical usefulness
  • Identify:
    • Fabricated claims
    • Incorrect references
    • Misleading reasoning
  • Score and rank AI responses using structured evaluation rubrics
  • Provide clear, evidence-based written feedback


Ideal Candidate

  • Professional experience in government, public policy, NGOs, or non-profit organizations**
  • Background in a practitioner, advisory, or program role
  • Familiarity with:
    • Regulations, policies, or compliance frameworks
    • Public sector or non-profit operational standards
  • Strong analytical thinking and written communication skills


Work Setup

  • ~20 hours per week
  • Fully remote – work on your own schedule
  • Project-based (with potential extensions based on performance)


Contract & Payment Terms

  • Independent contractor engagement
  • Weekly payments via **Stripe or Wise**
  • No access to confidential or proprietary data required
  • Projects may be extended, shortened, or concluded based on needs and performance
